These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made from SugarPlum Ceramics through this website. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

Handmade ceramics

Every SugarPlum Ceramics piece is individually handcrafted. Due to the handmade nature of ceramics, there may be slight variations in shape, size, colour, glaze, texture and finish. These variations are part of the character of handmade pottery and mean that no two pieces will be exactly alike.

I make every effort to photograph and describe pieces accurately. Colours may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography and the screen or device being used.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£). The price displayed when you place your order is the price you will be charged.

Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you place your order. Local delivery is currently free within the eligible delivery areas.

Payment must be completed when placing an order through the website.

Collection

Orders can be collected from my studio in Doncaster.

Once you have placed your order, I will contact you to arrange a convenient collection time.

Please do not arrive at the studio without a pre-arranged collection time.

Free local delivery

Free local delivery is currently available to selected local postcode areas, as shown on the Shop page and at checkout.

If local delivery is available for your address, this option will be shown during checkout.

I will contact you after your order has been placed to arrange a convenient delivery time. Please ensure that the delivery information provided when ordering is complete and accurate.

Postal delivery

Postal delivery is not currently available.

Orders must therefore either be collected from my Doncaster studio or qualify for free local delivery to one of the selected local postcode areas.

Order confirmation

After placing an order, you will receive confirmation of your purchase using the contact details provided during checkout.

Please check your order confirmation and contact me as soon as possible if you notice an error.

If there is an unexpected problem with an order or an item is no longer available, I will contact you as soon as possible and, where appropriate, provide a refund.

Cancellations and returns

If you purchase a standard, non-personalised item online, you normally have the right to change your mind and cancel your order without giving a reason.

You must tell me that you wish to cancel within 14 days after receiving the item.

After notifying me that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the item.

To exercise your right to cancel, please contact me at:

Email: hello@sugarplumceramics.co.uk

You may use the cancellation form at the end of these Terms & Conditions, although you do not have to use that form.

Please contact me before returning an item so that appropriate return arrangements can be made.

Unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, you are responsible for returning it safely and for the direct cost of returning it.

You should take reasonable care of the item while it is in your possession. You may handle it only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and condition.

Where a cancellation right applies, I will issue the refund within the period required by law. This will normally be within 14 days after I receive the returned goods or, if earlier, after you provide evidence that the goods have been returned.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

Personalised and Made-to-Specification Items

The standard change-of-mind cancellation right does not normally apply to goods that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised.

If you commission a bespoke or personalised piece, I will explain the relevant ordering, payment and cancellation arrangements before accepting the commission.

This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.

Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described items

I take great care when making and handling every piece.

Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose and as described. If you believe an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact me as soon as possible at hello@sugarplumceramics.co.uk with details of the problem.

The natural variations associated with individually handcrafted ceramics, as described above, are not in themselves faults.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.

Care of handmade ceramics

Where relevant, care information will be provided in the product description or with the piece.

Please follow any care instructions supplied with your ceramics.

SugarPlum Ceramics cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from misuse, accidental damage or failure to follow the care instructions provided, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these Terms & Conditions

I may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The Terms & Conditions that apply to your purchase will be those in effect when your order is placed.
