Ember is a one-of-a-kind sculptural bowl, individually handmade in my Doncaster studio.
Its flowing organic form is finished in a rich combination of smoky olive, muted plum and soft golden tones, with subtle variations created naturally through the glazing and firing process. A warm copper-toned edge follows the undulating rim, beautifully defining the shape of the piece.
The hand-shaped surface creates gentle rises and hollows across the bowl, giving the glaze different depths and tones as the light moves across it. The individual character of the glaze and organic form means no two pieces could ever be exactly alike.
Designed as a decorative statement piece, Ember brings warmth, texture and an earthy elegance to a shelf, console or table.
